Sometimes it starts with something simple — a tool, a vessel, a watch, a bar of metal.
At first, it may seem ordinary. But once I begin to understand who made it, what it was used for, where it came from, and how it has survived, the object starts to feel different.
For me, meaning often appears slowly.
Not all at once, and not always through price.
