1 Kilo Silver Poured Bar

About this piece

Engelhard’s London refinery produced kilo bars for the British and international markets, and examples carrying the Engelhard London cartouche are now far less common than the American issues.

This bar was poured rather than struck, with the serial number, weight and 999 fineness stamped by hand into the face. The reverse is left plain, showing the cast surface and the toning it has gathered over the years.
